Q: What type of supervision is there in the dorms and to and from the fields?
A:
Each floor in the dorm will have a floor supervisor in addition to members of the senior staff staying in the dorms during the camp. Campers are supervised walking to and from the beach area and to and from the field. The campers will walk to dinner with a coach. The dining hall is usually located in the dorm we are residing or directly

Q: Who are the coaches? Are there background checks of the staff ?
A:
The coaches on staff will be a combination of Northwestern College coaches, current and former Northwestern soccer players and local coaches with an educational background. Since you child's safety is of the utmost importance, NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY IS ONE OF THE FEW CAMPS THAT REQUIRE A BACKGROUND CHECK OF ALL STAFF MEMBERS working at the camp.

Q: What meals are included?
A:
All residential campers will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Northwestern dining halls while commuters will receive lunch and dinner. The first meal served will be dinner on July 16th, the last meal will be lunch on July 19th.

Q: It gets very hot in the summer, what type of hydration is available?
A:
We are fortunate to sponsored by Gatorade so every training session will have full access to Gatorade stations located in close proximity to the fields. In addition, campers can bring their own water jugs to fill at our water stations. On those days where it is very hot we will take extra breaks.

Q: Will a commuter get the same training as those who stay overnight ?
A:
All the training for both commuters and residents is the same. Residents will have the benefit of doing additional training with our nightly "Indoor Madness" program.

Q: Can you match roommates with those requested?
A:
We will match roommates. Our rooms are doubles so if three people request each other we will do our best to put them in the rooms next to each other.

Q: What if I don't have a roommate?
A:
We have other single campers and you will be matched up with someone within one year of your age.

Q: What is the typical day like?
A:
We usually try to teach many of the skills in the morning while the campers are fresh, really focusing on improving technical skills. The afternoon is spent teaching the tactical part of the game and mixing those concepts into short sided play. After an optional cooling off at the beach and a good dinner, it is time to play the league matches and put all the good work of the day into a game situation. For those campers staying overnight, we offer a fun "Indoor Madness" of playing short sided games indoors or our movie each night.

Q: Can parents observe camp games ?
A:
We encourage parents to come out at night for the league games and on the final day of camp for the league championships. We ask that after check-in, if a parent needs to enter the dorm he contact the camp director since access to the dorms are controlled with our three level security system.

Q: Is there Goalkeeper specific training?
A:
Goalkeeping instruction is done by Ovidio Felcaro, one of the best goalkeeper trainers in the country and former professional player from Argentina. We will incorporate the GK training during the skills training for the field players and in the afternoon during the skills demonstration.
