CSTC Alumni have gone on to play at many other Division I, II, & III schools, and some have even made it professionally. Others have used their experience at the CSTC to simply become a better HS player.
Testimonials
“Coach Lenahan, I thought you would like to know how much those four days at the College Soccer Training Center have done for me in my athletic success. Your coaching has inspired me to become a better player and overall person in the end. I learned a lot about soccer in the time I attended your session, but I think I learned more about "hating to lose" than anything else. Before coming to Northwestern I had never been around such a competitive environment and I've taken that experience and benefited tremendously. I recently shared your "hate to lose" speech with my struggling team, and fully credited you with the idea. I hope it does for them what it has done for me. Best wishes and Thanks again!”
“Just wanted to let you know that our son tried out and was selected for the ODP state team this past Saturday. As my son informed me, his training at your College Soccer Training Center prepared him in a way that no other camp ever has and contributed to his ODP selection.”
“Hardcore and Intense. I can’t wait to come back next year”
“I just wanted to tell you that the College Soccer Training Center was great. It was a lot more than I expected, but I loved every minute of it. The passion and enthusiasm that you bring to the game, along with the rest of the NU coaching staff is unbelievable. For the whole staff have that degree of intensity is great”.
"I never knew working that hard would be that rewarding. I left the College Soccer Training Center exhausted, but more importantly, a better player. There is no question this is the best camp I ever attended."
"After attending the CSTC, I had six coaches contact me about attending their school. Thanks for a great week of camp and getting great exposure "

Questions About the CSTC
Q: Is attending a high level camp important in the recruiting process?
A: College coaches more and more are using their camps as a primary recruiting tool. Almost half of the current Northwestern roster, as well as MLS Draft Pick Brad North, attended the CSTC. Coaches get a great feel for your work ethic, personality, and desire. Often times when playing for your club team, a college coach will only get to see half of a game and maybe won't get to see you at your best. The CSTC allows for multiple days of exposure.
Q: What is the principle philosophy of the College Soccer Training Center ?
A: Most importantly, it is to expose participants to what a genuine College preseason is like. Some of the participants are incoming college freshman, so those who attend will be able to see how they “match up” with Division I scholarship players. You’ll be treated like a college player from the moment you arrive and are expected to embrace this opportunity.
Q: What do players do with their spare time ?
A: Just like a college preseason, there is little spare time. Between speed training, fitness work, field training, eating and guest speakers in the evening, there is no trouble getting players to lights out by 11:00PM. Since Northwestern is the only Division 1A school with its own beach, we have daily access if time allows.
Q: Will the CSTC provide advice on the recruiting process ?
A: Our coaches will provide a detailed seminar on the recruiting process. In addition, the CSTC coaching staff will serve as references for you. Since, we provide a detailed and honest evaluation of your performance, attitude, and work ethic, college coaches are going to be more likely to listen to our recommendations for their program.
